1937 Canadian $2 Dollar Bill - Cutting Error                                SKU# 522553C

Dating back to the reign of King George VI, this Canadian $2 dollar bill is a wonderful piece of Canada's rich monetary history. The 1937 issue of banknotes signaled the first time Canadian banknotes were fully bilingual, meaning there was no longer a need to produce separate English and French language notes. You will notice that the denominations and text on the left half of the note are in English, while the right half of each note is in French. A fascinating bill you won't want to miss out on.

- Reverse face shows an image of a harvest allegory symbolizing the mercantile industry with a woman seated surrounded with symbols of bounty and harvest; and reads "BANK OF CANADA, TWO DOLLARS, BRITISH AMERICAN BANK NOTE COMPANY LIMITED"
- Serial Prefix: BR

- Bill has a cutting error as the top of the bill is narrower than the bottom
