This lot is sure to appeal to U.S. History enthusiasts, coin collectors and philatelists! In 1999, the U.S. mint embarked on a decade long program that honored each state on a quarter. Each state's quarter would have its name, year of entry and a distinctive design on the reverse of the quarter along with the year of minting. These quarters are mounted on a cardboard sheet which describes the quarters on the front and on the reverse is a quick history of the state. Also mounted on the reverse are stamps related to Arkansas.
Features:
- Obverse: Inscription: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / QUARTER DOLLAR / LIBERTY / IN GOD WE TRUST
- Reverse: Inscription "ARKANSAS / 1836 / 2003 / E PLURIBUS UNUM" and image of rice stalks, a diamond and a mallard gracefully flying above a lake.
- Quarter from the Denver Mint.
- Quarter from the Philadelphia Mint
- Stamp issued on October 28, 1957 commemorating forest conservation and the centenary of Theodore Roosevelt's birth.
- Stamp issued on November 24, 1970 marking the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the service agency, Disabled American Veterans
- Cardboard is in a protective plastic folder.
