This lot is sure to appeal to U.S. History enthusiasts, coin collectors and philatelists! In 1999, the U.S. mint embarked on a decade long program that honored each state on a quarter. Each state's quarter would have its name, year of entry and a distinctive design on the reverse of the quarter along with the year of minting. These quarters are mounted on a cardboard sheet which describes the quarters on the front and on the reverse is a quick history of the state. Also mounted on the reverse are stamps related to North Dakota.
Features:
- Obverse: Inscription: "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / QUARTER DOLLAR / LIBERTY / IN GOD WE TRUST
- Reverse: Inscription "NORTH DAKOTA / 1889 / 2006 / E PLURIBUS UNUM" North Dakota's theme was Badlands with Bison which features a pair of Bison grazing in front of buttes and canyons typical of North Dakota's badlands region.
- Quarter from the Philadelphia Mint
- Quarter from the Denver Mint
- Stamp issued on February 29, 1888 features a Conestoga wagon.
- Stamp issued on October 24, 1968 honoring Ducks Unlimited which saved the Wood Duck population in North Dakota.
- Cardboard is in protective plastic folder
