Grab yourself a bit of history with this Souvenir Set of Britain's First Decimal Coins from the Royal Mint. Between 1968 and 1971 over a thousand years of British monetary history was overturned with the replacement of Pounds/Shillings/Pence with New Pence. Included is an explanatory note describing the design of the reverse of each coin. The five coins are mounted on paper and contained in a soft plastic blue wallet with the title, "Britain's First Decimal Coins." The Cupro-Nickel coins are from 1968 and 1969 while the copper coins are from 1971 which reflects their phased introduction.
